SunLine Transit Agency to Provide Free Rides to the Polls on Election Day

(Thousand Palms, CA) Anyone wanting to vote on Election Day can count on SunLine Transit Agency to get them to the polls. Free rides will be offered to customers on Tuesday, November 8th, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., to help encourage all residents to get out and vote.

To qualify for the free ride, customers must show their valid voter information card or ballot book to the Bus Operator upon boarding.

“Voting is very important, and not having a ride to the polls is an obstacle that no member of our community should have to face,” said Lauren Skiver, CEO/General Manager of SunLine Transit Agency. “SunLine is proud to be a community partner in supporting local residents to ensure that every citizen has transportation to exercise their civic right and civic duty.”

This promotion is valid on all SunLine routes, excluding Commuter Link 220.
