To strengthen and improve public transportation, APTA serves and leads its diverse membership through advocacy, innovation and information sharing. APTA and its members and staff work to ensure that public transportation is available and accessible for all Americans in communities across the country.

The City of Coachella, one of the fastest growing cities in Southern California, is a famliy oriented city with a rich cultural heritage. The fast pace of residential growth has become a beacon for attracting new businesses - and Coachella is one of the few areas in the country with both a State Enterprise Zone and a Federal Empowerment Zone offering substantial tax credits.

The City of Desert Hot Springs is committed to becoming a world class health and wellness destination based upon its famous miracle waters, unique desert ecosystem, spectacular mountain views, and natural environment.

Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) CVAG was formed in 1973 under California's Joint Powers Law to address issues of valley-wide significance. Today, CVAG works on a variety of projects important to the Coachella Valley, both as the lead agency and as a part of larger teams.

Project Safe Place is a national youth outreach program that educates thousands of young people every year about the dangers of running away or trying to resolve difficult, threatening situations on their own.  Every SunLine bus has been designated as a mobile Safe Place site and displays the distinctive yellow and black Safe Place sign.

Riverside County - the Fourth District is the largest District by far, covering the eastern two-thirds of the County. Within the Fourth District are the cities of Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella and Blythe.

Riverside County Transportation Commission oversees funding and coordination of all public transportation services within Riverside County.
