Haul Pass

Transportation is often a barrier for Coachella Valley residents seeking education and employment opportunities. As such, SunLine Transit Agency recognizes that reliable transportation access and economic burdens play a significant role in a student’s ability to successfully enroll and obtain a college degree or participate in the local workforce.

The Haul Pass program began in 2018, after receiving a grant from California’s Low Carbon Transit Operations program. College of the Desert was the first to participate in 2018 and California State University San Bernardino joined in 2019.

Starting on August 1, 2021, the program will allow for high school students in grades 9 -12 to access free local rides.

High School Haul Pass

The Haul Pass program expands to include all high school students in grades 9th – 12th, beginning on August 1, 2021. To apply for the Haul Pass program as a high school student, please fill out the Haul Pass Application form.
