TO: Prospective Proposers
RE: Request for Proposal (RFP) 22-010 Janitorial Services
SunLine Transit Agency is requesting written proposals to engage a vendor to perform the task as described in the RFP to provide Janitorial Services under a service agreement. Written proposals are requested which will be firm and irrevocable for 120 days or until such time as SunLine has signed an agreement with the successful Proposer. The proposal of the successful Proposer will be binding upon SunLine’s acceptance of that proposal. The proposal should include price, delivery date, and all information needed to understand and evaluate the proposal, as well as any exception from SunLine specifications. Copies of SunLine’s specifications for this work and standard terms & conditions are included with this packet and will become part of any agreement resulting from this solicitation.
A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held beginning at 9:00 am September 28, 2021 at SunLine Transit Agency THOUSAND PALMS location at 32-505 Harry Oliver Trail, Thousand Palms, CA 92276, then moving to our COACHELLA location at 790 Vine St., Coachella, CA 92236, and finally moving to our INDIO facilities at 83-255 Hwy 111, Indio, CA 92201. Each Contractor will be responsible for their own transportation to each facility. Attendance by any prospective Proposers to the pre-proposal conference and ALL THREE sites is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The pre-proposal conference/site visits will be the only opportunity Proposers will have to examine the locations and discuss the scope with SunLine staff.
Hard copy proposals will be received until 3:00 pm Pacific Standard Time, October 14, 2021 at SunLine Transit Agency, 32-505 Harry Oliver Trail, Thousand Palms, CA 92276. Proposals received after that time will not be considered. Proposals may also be delivered electronically, via email to sparrish@sunline.org, also by 3:00 pm PST.
This request for proposal is subject to Federal, Local, or State financial assistance, and for any reason the financial assistance is withdrawn, then and in such event SunLine Transit Agency may withdraw this RFP and/or terminate any agreement entered into in accordance with these agreement documents and specifications.
Copies of the Request for Proposal and any addenda may be picked up by appointment at SunLine Transit Agency, at the Thousand Palm address above, downloaded at www.SunLine.org, or requested by e-mail at the address below. SunLine Transit Agency reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and to waive minor informalities or irregularities in the proposal process.

Please Note:
Where proposals are sent by mail, delivery service or delivered in-person to the SunLine Transit Agency Procurement Office, the proposors shall be responsible for the delivery to SunLine before the advertised date and hour for the opening of the proposals. Proposors should follow the instructions for submittal in the bidding documents. To pick up proposals or any questions about downloading proposals, please call SunLine at 760-343-3456.
