SunLine Transit Agency Provides 40 Cent Rides On May 31st in Celebration of its 40th Anniversary

(Thousand Palms, CA) May 2017 launches a one-year celebration of SunLine Transit Agency’s 40th anniversary serving the transit needs of the Coachella Valley. SunLine is dedicated to leading the advancement of alternative fuels while providing safe, accessible public transportation to the businesses, visitors and residents of Greater Palm Springs.
To kick off the 40th Anniversary commemorative activities, SunLine will host a Customer Appreciation Day next Wednesday, May 31st. On this day, bus rides will be 40 cents for those who have exact change (operators do not have cash and cannot make change).
An event will also be held at the bus stop adjacent to Westfield Mall in Palm Desert at the southeast intersection of Town Center and Hahn. From 7:00-10:00 a.m., the public is invited to receive giveaways and have the opportunity to win one of 40 31-day passes and one grand prize winner of the “Golden Ticket” – a one-year unlimited pass for fixed route. No purchase necessary to win.
